1962 Fender Jazz Bass

One of the earliest Jazz Basses we have had through our doors at BassBros! This being a fantastic sounding and looking example. It plays beautifully with a low action! This one dates from 1962. It has had a full body and neck refinish including a new decal which is period correct, the holes for the neck pickup cover were filled when the bass was refinished. The neck is stamped 6-62 (June 1962). Original potentiometers date to 1961 also. Serial number on the neck plate dates to 1962. Pickups are original as well as original celluloid 3 ply pickguard. Pickguard screws have been changed as well as bridge screws and control plate screws. The bass has also has a refret at some point in its life.
