2023 Fender Japan Tomomi Jazz Bass

Another superb Japanese market only signature bass! This being the Fender Tomomi Jazz Bass in clear fiesta finish. What a look with the cream pickup covers which are covering a pair of Fender Pure Vintage ’64 Single-Coil Jazz Bass® that sounds phenominal. It feels a very solid bass with even better than usual components form Fender Japan! The bass is in as new condition and has not been used, with plastic still on tuners and pickguard. We have given the bass a full check over, including the truss rod and electrics, all works perfectly.

This is the latest model from TOMOMI, the bassist of SCANDAL, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2021 and has successfully performed in numerous world tours and arena shows.

The body color is the original color “Clear Fiesta” that has a traditional impression but also shows through the wood grain, and the combination of a mint green pickguard, cream-colored pickup cover, and stack knobs found on the very early JAZZ BASS® from 1960 to 1961 gives it a unique look that has never been seen before.

The alder body and vintage-style bridge are selected to produce a thick and firm royal sound output by the Pure Vintage ’64 Single-Coil Jazz Bass®, while the neck incorporates modern elements such as the Slim “C” grip and 9.5-inch radius similar to the American Professional II to improve playability.
