Music Man Cutlass – Rare Early Example

£5,500

1 in stock

Here we have a very rare Pre Ernie Ball Music Man Cutlass. This one is the early version which predates the Cutlass ‘1’ on the headstock, this being just ‘Cutlass’ which makes this a rare beast indeed! Most likely from early 1983, it could have been made late 1982 as one of the first. We haven’t seen one of these basses available for over ten years, this is the first time we have had the opportunity to sell one of these amazing instruments!

It features the factory fitted Modulus graphite neck. The original pots date to 1979. It is in very good condition with a few small marks, chips and scratches throughout. There is slight clouding to the neck finish mostly on the headstock but for it’s age it is in great shape. Everything is in good working order including the electronics and the trussrod. Included is a modern Music Man hardcase.
