2012 Epiphone Jack Casady Bass

The Epiphone Jack Casady Signature Bass is universally recognized as one of the great electric bass designs and it’s been embraced by bassists in every genre. Now, Epiphone presents the Ltd. Ed. Jack Casady Signature Bass in a beautiful new Silverburst color finish.

The Epiphone Jack Casady Signature Bass was designed by Casady in collaboration with Epiphone and is the culmination of years of experimentation by the legendary Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna bassist to create an instrument with superb, balanced electric tone and the response of an upright acoustic bass.

Jack Casady is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his pioneering work with Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna and was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by Bass Player magazine in 2011. He’s one of the rare rock bassists known by fans, players, and even non-musicians for his signature tone.

Looking for the Holy Grail of Bass Tone: “When I first started playing, I ran across a short scale semi-hollow bass.” Jack Casady told Epiphone.com “I really enjoyed the semi-hollow nature of that bass and over the years tried to capture that characteristic.”
