Yamaha BB424

This is a fantastic bass, for the money it is quite unbelievable! We are very impressed with how this bass feels and sounds. It also has that clean cut Yamaha look! There is a crack in the finish that runs through one side of the body, this is just cosmetic and has no affect on the structure of the bass. We have tried to photograph this to show it, it is fairly hard to notice unless looking for it.

What Yamaha say –

Inheriting the sound and design of the BB2000 series bass guitars the BB424 makes for an excellent instrument for up and coming Rock bassists. BB424 brings the Super-BB design brief of the ultimate passive bolt-on bass to an incredibly affordable price point by incorporating Super-BB construction touches like the 5-ply laminated neck and 45-degree Mitre Stringing into the massively successful BB400 series basses.

With solid alder bodies, custom wound pickups and gig-ready hardware the BB424 is a truly affordable bass designed to capture the spirit of the new Yamaha BBs – the perfect bass for today’s rock players.

To improve tension and reduce stress, the strings are angled 45 degree at the saddle through the process of Diagonal Body Thru Stringing. Also, there?s much better vibration transmission than your usual vertical stringing thanks to the the larger attachment area.
